Publicity Hunter Kejriwal
The publicity hunter Arvind
Kejriwal has been out of focus on news front for quiet sometime. Media was not
paying any attention to what he was doing or what he was saying. Suddenly on
September 21, the Aam Admi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister surfaced in
Chennai. Lo and behold, he hit the headlines on Thursday in national media.
He flew down to Tamil Nadu to
share his concern for the country with Kamal Hassan who has decided to take a
plunge into politics. The super star of Tamil films who has also a string of
Hindi titles to his credit would form a political party that would work and
care for common man. Kamal Hassan forgets that the copy right of Aam Admi is
with Kejriwal. The founder of Aam Admi Party was alarmed that how come Kamal
Hassan was spelling the agenda of his yet to be formed political party without
consulting him (Kejriwal).
So, he reached Chennai with a
bouquet of flowers to greet Hassan at the latter’s residence. Kejriwal said,
“It is important when the country is facing strong forces of corruption and
communalism that like-minded people talk to each other and work in tandem with
each other. We had a good meeting; we exchanged ideas and spoke about the
situation in Tamil Nadu and the country,” Mr. Kejriwal said, adding that they
would continue to meet in future.
Kamal Hassan also forgets that
Arvind Kejriwal has the copy right of one more issue confronting the nation;
the issue of corruption. Kejriwal thinks he is the only leader in the country
to fight corruption. Look at his ways of fighting corruption.
Kejriwal is a votary and
supporter of Lalu Yadav who has been convicted in the fodder scam and is barred
from contesting elections. Kejriwal is also silent on income tax and
enforcement directorate investigations against Lalu’s son Tejaswi Yadav and his
daughter Misa for holding benami property running into several crores of
rupees. So, Kejriwal fight corruption this way. He went to Patna to attend Lalu
Yadav’s rally on August 28 last. There was great bonhomie between Kejriwal and
the ‘honest politician of Bihar Lalu Yadav at the dais. Kejriwal hugged Lalu
assuring his support for Lalu fighting corruption charges and cases against him
and his family.
After having been dumped by
the Congress and the Left Parties, Kejriwal is desperate to find new friends in
politics. But Kamal Hassan should know that embracing Kejriwal would only bring
discredit to him and his yet to be formed political outfit.
There are more than half a
dozen ministers in Delhi Government headed by Kejriwal who are facing corruption
charges. He has thrown his mentors out of Aam Admi Party. Prashant Bhushan and
Yogendra Yadav were removed from AAP by Kejriwal. Shanti Bhushan, father of
Prashant Bhushan and former Union Law Minster in the Moraraji Desi Government
of Janata Party in 1977-79 had contributed Rs, one crore to Party fund of AAP
to establish Kejriwal. But Delhi chief minister has no qualms in stabbing his
mentors from behind.
